Washington Fly Fishing

Welcome to Washington Fly Fishing. Providing fly anglers information specific to our beautiful waters, and general fly fishing topics applicable anywhere.

It's a community site, run by anglers for anglers. Content is provided by the site but mostly, as with any good community based site, it's a mechanism to share info, stories & photos between each other.

While most folks end up in the discussion forum, if you haven't yet you should look through the photo gallery. With over 10K registered members the gallery has quickly grown to over 25K images and some video as well.

WFF GEAR PROGRAM:

The gear program is simply a demo program structured as a gear library. You schedule it's usage, pick it up in North Bend and use it for a few days, upwards of a week. The benefits of the manufacturer is getting the gear demo'd. The benefit to you is the same, but further we don't hold back general usage. In my opinion general usage should be welcomed by all in that it ensures the gear gets used ongoing and also ensures a positive beneift is provided to you above and beyond demo advertising.

The program is kept between WFF and the manufacturers which helps seperate WFF from sales outlets. WFF, beyond providing this service, has no monitary vested interest. Period. Further, there is no charge (rental fee, etc) to those that demo the gear.

4/1/2008 Update: NEW to the program is Loop who has not only provided their "Multi" series rods in 4, 6 & 8wt's, but has also provided Evotech III reels in sizes 4-6, 7-9 & 9-13. Each reel has multiple spare spools and will be offered on their own and with line demo's.
4/1/2008 Update: We have already obtained a collection of lines from Airflo, Scientifc Angler, Loop & Jim Teeny. The WFF line program will allow reels with multiple spooled lines, leadered and ready to fish to be checked out. The intention is that you will be able to dial in your rod while on the river with minimal effort or cost.

HOW TO CHECK GEAR OUT:

Pretty straight forward really.

First you need to be registered in the forum so I have some contact info and you have the ability to use the WFF Calendar located in the forum area.

Next, as noted, schedule the gear in the WFF Gear Program Calendar. Note what the gear is in the subject line and ensure every day you plan to use it is covered.

Now, when the time comes, pick it up in North Bend. I'll provide you some directions and a phone number to call me at when you you're on the way.

Return it on time.

Done.
