View Full Version : Lake Lenore
Has anyone hit Lenore yet this spring? Any details would be appreciated.

OK, OK! I've been keeping it a bit of a secret, but the cutts are heavy in the shallows of Lenore. I've been predominantly at the north end of the lake. Fished for a couple of hours on two separate days and didn't want to leave!!!
There was no need for a float tube, or waders for that matter. The fish are visible from standing on the shore. My brother and I were there today (4/15) and we had a couple doubles. Just as we were leaving our double included a thick 22" (mine) and a 24" torpedo (big bro's). Try tossing a black chironomid (size 12-16). Today the ice cream cones were the ticket, but last Friday it was a soft hackle black one that was working. Fish it 18" under an indicator.
I did see others catching some by stripping some type of fly, but the chironmid was definitely the favorite. E-mail me if you want more info. (P.S. Head north on the lake...as north as you can get!)
