What's the pattern of choice at the Crab Creek chain
of lakes on opener? Also, does anyone know if camping
in the parking lots is acceptable? I noticed last time
at Nunnally, them bondo boys across the road, riding on their 4-wheelers and dune buggies were annoying. Do they make it up as far as Lenice?

Anything that resembles a chironomid pupa.

I've had good luck with dragon fly nymphs and after the weather warms up blue adult damsels have worked well and they are a lot of fun.

Firstly, camping in the parking lot is okay and the off-roaders tone it down after sunset. As far as fishing goes, I was there opening weekend last year and my buddy caught 5-10 on a chironomid near the bottom. I caught zero using the same technique as well as casting-retrieving-trolling a woolley bugger. Finally, if you plan on using a float tube, I suggest you bring electric socks, pants, shirt, and hat.

Also include ear plugs....

Last year, did well on some of the bigger WB type flies, also Hale Bopp's.

Just thought I'd bring this thread to the top. Anybody fish Nunally, Lenice, or Merry today?
