For those of you who haven't already marked this day on your calendars, be sure to. It's free and well worth your time. While this event is primarily about spey casting there will be some of the top over-head casters as well.

Spey casts are not just for the long rods as they provide a wonderful set of options for presenting flies to trout and other species. IMHO, spey casts (dynamic roll casts) should be learned by anybody who fishes a fly rod. The top casters in the country will be at this event as will a host of rod and line manufacturers.

You bet!

We have 6 guys going down from Mt. Vernon/Stanwood area.
Getting to use all the new gears, what more could you ask for (more Steelhead I know).
Learn different technique.
Met new fly fishers.
Sounds fun.
I’m there.

I would like to go! Does anyone want to carpool from the North of Seattle area. I'm flexible and can drive if necessary.
