I'm in. I've already been working on pulling together demo gear for another event coming up which I'll make available for this function. It might be a little tight for me to have all the lines together by then but I'll work on it.
Beyond the gear, what can I help you with Chad?
I'm in and will help out with anything. I also live in N. Bend.
But, I can't make the weekend of the 28th- running the hood-to-coast.
Great idea, and thanks for bringing it up!

Cool, thanks guys.
Would the 21st be too soon?
Let's get a vote on dates, here are the dates open for me:
Aug: 21, 28
Sept: 18, 25
As for things I could use help on:
I could use someone to take on the organization\coordination of:
* BBQ\Food\Drink (beer is welcome, but this should be considered a 'family' event...)
* River Cleanup (Scottr\TU ?)
* Product Demos (Chris and maybe Scottr\TU?)
* Other? I'm sure we'll come up with other ideas...

i'd definitely be up for it and can probably make the 28th. also happy to contribute – food, beverages, vehicle (SUV), trash collection supplies, etc…
man, the trash and fire remains are really bad in a couple spots i’ve seen. was up there yesterday afternoon and saw some folks building a huge fire. also, a few weeks ago i ran into the DNR fire crew as they were cleaning an area. one of them mentioned that if they don’t get the fire/trash situation under control they’ll be forced to close the area to vehicle traffic. it would become walk-in only.

We also talked about having a drawing of some kind. Proceeds going to the site or maybe an agreed upon fishing related enviro\habitat\ program...
Anyone want to be in charge of the drawing?
Thoughts on what the event schedule should look like?
Could be a BBQ\lunch event to kick off, followed by fishing\cleanup. Thoughts?

Thanks Tyler.
PS - if you see anymore fires up there, call the Sheriff. Isn't there a burn ban right now? I've seen beefed up sheriff patrols in the area lately - especially on weekends.

Chad - I could probably make the 28TH if it's in the afternoon. Might have to work until about 2PM - Tom.

OK, thanks Tom.
Guys, keep sending in your good vs bad dates.
Early next week I'll pick the date. Unfortunately I'm sure we won't be able to accomodate everyone, but we'll sure try!

Chad, thanks for remembering. Count me in for either of the September dates - the August ones probably won't work for me. We can use my pickup for trash collection and I'll take care of disposing of it properly.

Just a reminder. The 28th of August is the Wild Steel Head release hearings. Many of use from this site are going there that weekend to fight for the rights of Wild Steelhead.
Thats where I myself plan to be that weekend. I hope as many as can make it also plan on showing up.

Thanks for taking the initiative, Chad. I'm good for most any day and happy to help where I can be most useful. Being retired I can also help with setups on the day before even if it is a weekday. Sounds like some great folks have already offered essentials like trucks to haul debris, etc. I'd be happy to fill in where you have a gap. Just name it.

Hey Chad,
I am just down the road from you and would love to help out. The 21st works well. Maybe I can bring enough beer to get you to say where those Middle Fork secret spots are.
I believe I noted Tyler's picture with a bonefish on this message string. Since I just moved back from the Florida Keys and never caught a bonefish on a fly, maybe he can regale me on what I was doing wrong for two years...
Great plan, Chad.

August no, Sept dates yes for me.
Sounds like fun...there is certainly always cleanup to do.
I filled my pockets last night, wish I had remembered to bring a garbage bag. Litterbugs are scum.

OK - looks like setp 18 is the best date so far.
Anymore thoughts on the date before I make it 'official'??

Is September 18 still looking like the date of choice? Mid September generally still has consistently decent weather. The 21st of Aug. may be too close at hand to get things put together.
At any rate any date selected I am in and will offer assistance any way that is needed. Let me know what you need.

Hey ChadK,
Im not on the list and have only fished the snoqualmie once, but I would enjoy helping with the cleanup and attending the BBQ. Let us know if you will need some food, trash bags or anything.
Thanks!

Well being that it is on a weekend. I have a little trouble getting away. The trouble is a 12 and a 8 year old girls. And no I won't bring my headache over there. So I'm sorry that I won't be able to make it.

Chad, I am hoping to make it. I am currently out of work and may have to take a contract job out of state. If I am here in Washington on the 18th I definately plan on attending.
Thanks!

Cool, the September 18th should work for me! I'm in. I'll see what I can help with, definitely setup or cleanup and I've got a truck so I can help getting some of the garbage hauled out.

Chad,
It looks like I can make it. I have a pickup let me know
if you need me to do anything. If there is any interest in
me bringing some two-handers for people to try let me know
also. Would you mind if I did the trash pick up below the
falls?

chadk

Big K1 - bring the 2 handers. We'll be doing gear demos, and everyone is welcome to bring something to let others try.
Fishing and cleanup can happen anywhere you like. Not sure yet how we'll organize the cleanup and fishing - but somehow we'll break into smaller groups and target different areas...

If there is anything that is needed (tools, truck, attitude), just let me know.

Well...the lil' lady went and bought tickets for Farm Aid, which is on the 18th. So I will unfortunately be unable to attend.
Unless of course there's a sunrise fish and trash that day, in which case I'd be in.
I'll continue catch and retain of coors light cans and fishing line (no restrictions) on the middle fork on my own time... : )

Sorry to hear you are out Stokes and a few others. Maybe next time :)
For those signing up and volenteering various forms of help and supplies - THANKS! As time draws near and plans get more solid, I'm sure I'll be in contact...
