The hook thread got me wondering...What are the best hooks for saltwater flies? Are standard Gamakatsu Octopus hooks corrosion resistant? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Most hooks are corrosion resistant, but all but stainless steel will rust if sharpened.
For saltwater fishing, I use bright nickle plated hooks like the Tiemco 9394, dull nickle plated hooks like the Mustad 3407, and stainless steel like the Mustad C71S SS the Stainless Circle Streamer.
You will need to rinse all but the stainless steel hooks or they will rust.
I think that most guys use almost any hook in the salt, then rinse it off when they are done.
