As I've looked through the Chironomid Swap gallery, I've noticed that a significant number of the bugs have a white wing over the eyelet.
Is this to hide the knot and eyelet or is there some other reason for it? Since we're fishing subsurface, it wouldn't be needed as an indicator, but it does look cool!
Just Curious!:dunno

PS - the more I look at the bugs the more excited I get about fishing them!! :thumb
