This is the original irish Shrimp Pattern developed by Pat Curry of Coleraine. From this pattern evolved the rest of the fabulous shrimps we all know and love. This style of fly with tyhe bushy reat end tracks well in the water and the materials move like crazy which make them perfect for Steelhead even though they were created for Atlantics. HOOK – Double or Single, Spey length or Waddington Shank w/trailer
TAG - Fine Silver Oval
TAIL – Golden Pheasant Rump, wound as hackle
REAR BODY – Red Floss
Rib – Fine Silver Oval
Veiling – Red Swan or Crest or hackle Points on the sides
MID HACKLE – White Tipped Badger
FRONT BODY – Ronn Lucas Iridescent Dubbing, Black
Rib – Fine Silver Oval
Veiling – Red Swan or Crest or hackle Points on the sides
WINGS – Jungle Cock
FRONT HACKLE – White Tipped Badger
HEAD - red
