SS hooks for cheap?

Hello, was wondering if anyone knows of where I can get 2,4 and maybe 6 size SSteel hooks for dirt cheap?

I'll be using them as the head/shank half of the fly and cutting the bend off, and then will use #6,8 for stingers.

Or is there another suggestion on what I can use?

Check your local hardware store for cotter pins in the appropriate sizes. I have been using them for while now without complaint. They are way cheaper than hooks.

Wow, that really is a good idea. Yes, cotter pins come in SS. They also come cadmium plated.
