Years ago, I was reading an old fly tying book at the Fort Hood, Texas library.
The pattern was called a "Tups Indispensable." The pattern was designed by R.S. Austin to immitate a red spinner.
It stuck in my mind because of the far out dressing.
The body of the fly was made with the white fur from a rams testicles, (some authors report that this fur should be colored by the ram's urine!), fur from a spaniel, cream seal's fur, and yellow mohair.

When your remember that this sport came directly from Great Britain, where the common man, was not allowed to fly fish. Secrets and mystery.

Might be a good material to adapt to a salt fly and fish for sheepshead:-)
