DON'T KNOW IF YOU HAVE SEEN THIS ONLINE VIDEO ON MAKE A GLO BUG EGG. BUT IT SURE HELPED ME OUT WHEN I FIRST TRIED TO TIE THEM, NOW IT IS A PIECE OF CAKE.. I FOUND THAT THE KEY IS TO HAVE REALLY FAT YARN MADE FOR MAKEING THE EGGS.. THE EVERYDAY STUFF THAT STEELHEADERS USE ON THEIR HOOKS DID NOT WORK WELL FOR ME.

HERE IS THE LINK, THE VIDEO WILL LOAD WHEN YOU GO TO THE SITE.

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND , RON ON THE WILLAPA

thanks for the video, but is there really a need for caps lock? anyone interested is going to read your post, those that arn't will pass it up. If anything, caps lock tends to drive people away from your post.

My $0.02. But seriously, thanks for the video, it helped a ton!

Maybe his eye site is bad and he needs large letters to see what he is writing. Or maybe he is just shouting. Don't knock somebody if you don't know them.

P.S. Thanks willapabay for the info. I will have to try that as my egg flies suck.bawling:

Thanks for sharing. Zen's instructions helped, but I had kind of a sparse area under the hook when I was done. This will help with filling in that area.:thumb:

Well I finelly got one to look like a round egg. Thank's a whole bunch for this info. Now I'm going to try this on a smaller hook. They don't look to good on a size 4.

Ron - thx much for the link as that is a big help. Glo bugs are simple once you get the technique down and you can crank these bad boys out in minutes.

I'm really tiring of people like above flaming someone for something as minutia as caps locks so beyond that bs, thx again for sharing this with the group. 99.9% of the community are still here to share and learn. We just have to deal with the 'editors'.

Thanks for the appreciation.. I won't respond to the first feedback, I have more important things to do in life, .. I had been told that this forum /list can sometimes be a bunch of nit pickers at times sort of makes you want to go elsewhere, overall everyone has been great and helpful and I have learned a lot from many considerate folks.
take care and thanks for your thanks... Look no CAPS...

Thanks for the link! I've always been intimidated tying these little buggers as mine turn out like dingle berries.

I'm sorry for that, I really am. Wasn't in the best mood that night. So once again, sorry it wasn't right to lay into you like that. The video helped me a lot and now my eggs really look like them.

I thought that I would bring this back up again. I found some new stuff to tie these things from. It is called McFly foam and they have it at AATF on Monroe. It is a yarn that stretches. Even my flies look almost round and it is almost impossible to screw up.

hey guys, sorry to beat a dead horse, but the video is no longer on that site, says no more support. Did anyone happen to save that vid that could post it or send it to me? Thanks... Trevor (Don't castrate me for pulling up an old thread...)
