I guess my wife and my buddy Denny Conrad have been conspiring to make my winter season a little brighter. I got a package from Denny at Conranch hackle today with a Cree Saddle, a Ginger Neck and a complete Blue Ear Pheasant skin. What to tie, what to tie?

How did I get so lucky?

REE

Sorry Folks, I just had to tell somebody!

Davy,

That skin is so nice I'm almost (almost being the operative word here) afraid to pluck a feather from it.

Monk, the last tying gift she got me was a prime Jungle Cock neck, so yeah, she's a keeper.

  I know the feeling,,, three old Metz Cree's, an unbelievably colored mallard and few others I have never plucked a feather from

Feeling your pain,, I can offer to pluck a few for you off of it.

Ron, Ron, Ron, when will you learn the ways of the Woman... ;)

You think this early Christmas Present is a blessing, but I tell you it is certainly a curse...

You have been given your ideal gift and now you will be expected to give back in kind. She set the standard to which you will be held to, and expected to surpass. A blender or a toaster just isn't going to cut it. A scarff? His and her towells? Forget it bro. And to top it off, she showed you her cards early to be SURE you had plenty of time to get it right.

Good luck bro, you're gonna need it ;)

ChadK,

This is the woman that thought a 6 wgt two hander was an ideal Valentine's Day gift, thought a foggy day on the Cowlitz fishing for SRC's with Steve Buckner was a great way to spend our wedding anniversary, and a Sage SLT was the perfect birthday gift.

Her gift is safely tucked away behind the seat of my 73 Ford F250 as we speak. Hopefully she won't read this and ruin the surprise.

Ron, I was just kidding around. I know you have the world's best fishing buddy. Some of us have to settle for the likes of OMJ ;) (Recent pics would indicate that Davy is taking that a little too far...)

Chad, I knew you were kidding, but I like braggin about the wife (even if she does outfish me most of the time).

Your right about Davy getting carried away, but isn't that a smile on OMJ's face?
