Can anyone tell me something about sgae graphite 11 spey rods? How do they compare with the other's, sage or otherwise? Thanks for any help

save your money dont buy it. that rod is probably 15 years old or older.

Shawn K: Maybe you shouldn't be so hasty in replying without more info. There are some people that find a great deal of pleasure and functionality in older Sage spey rods. For all we know Whitehorse could have been given an older Sage rod.

Umm... Doesn't Sage still make Graphite III rods?

maybe i posted to fast. the text of his post said graphite 11 or graphite 2
I actually was given a graphite II 9140 and it is sitting in my closet collecting dust. It is my grandfathers rod so i will never sell it .

I Bloody well hope so!! Actually have two or three from this material. A very 'traditional soft action' vs. the present trend for fast/tip/progressive action control blanks so favored by many present rod designers.

Trust me, they're lovely rods to cast, and cast, and cast all day long. Handle BIG fish? Oh ya baby!:thumb:
