A local fly shop had a "killer" looking sculpin pattern which was tied using only squirrel zonkers(natural pine) for tail and body plus dumbell eyes. It looks exactly like a small bullhead and is an extremely easy/quick tie. I have also tied it as a floating tube pattern. I'm excited to try them out on Puget Sound.

Have any of you other sea-run cutthroat "addicts" had good success with bullhead/sculpin patterns? Anxious to hear others experiences/thoughts!

Mine probably looks similar - dumbell eyes, barred black / olive zonker strip from Orvis. I strat to use it in about three weeks and into the fall. At least in the South Sound it seems that SRCs and silvers are keying into sand lances still.
