I got back Sunday night from a week on the Kenei Peninsula. We went out on the Kasilof for some Kings but...just my luck they didn't start coming in 'til after we left! We did have some company though...

We also went to Seward for Silvers. We got a few but the water was so rough (two waves over the bow of a 31' boat) that we stayed in Resurrection Bay while most of the fish were outside the bay.
The halibut fishing out of Ninilchik was good and we limited out. I found out halibut fishing isn't much fun; drop a five pound weight, reel it in...repeat until fish is caught.
However, the upper Kenei was great! We caught a lot of fish, rainbows, dollies and one sockeye.

Unfortunately, I'm the old guy on the left. The good looking young guy was the guide.

This is a 24" female. I also caught a 27-1/4" female that took me 20 minutes to get to the net...on a 7 weight! She took me deep into my backing twice all the time tail dancing down the river.
If anyone is thinking of going up there, do it! We had a great guide that put us into big fish all day and was great company as well. I was impressed with the care he took with handling and releasing the fish, he never had them out of the water for more than 15 seconds. Next time we won't worry about the salmon but spend more time on the trout.
