Tide utility/Snohomish River

Can anyone explain to me why the tides in Everett are so different in magnitude than both Edmond and Kayak Pt. The timing for the highs and lows make sense but it doesn't seem that the degree of high vs low should be so different.
Has anyone fished the Snohomish around the Dagmar's Marina? Looking at the shoreline photos it seems there might be possibilities...

All that I will say is fish parallel to the shore line this fall (September, October) and see what it has to offer.
