I took a guy out to Point No Point yesterday. The tides were moderate and the weather was drizzly and breezy – perfect. The morning was slow so we wandered over to another beach. Near the end of the of the ebb, he missed on five big fish, presumably coho. The fish all followed and struck but he struck back using his trout instincts (gotta let them take the popper down then use a strip-set). Later, we went back to PNP where we learned that eight fish had been beached and a few more lost(one ny a fly-guy). They may be in.

Thank you for the report good or bad they just keep me dreaming of next week. We hope to be out on the boat, fishing that area mid week next week if things go as planned. Fishing our way up to Brownsville on Friday targeting around the Blake Island area then heading North after the long weekend is over. Hope to fish PNP area Wed and Thurs of next week and maybe longer if the fishing is good. Otherwise we will cruise around Puget Sound looking for the fish.
Two more work days till vacation. Leaving Friday morning for a week of fishing and boating on Puget Sound. Friday can not come quick enough right now. Spent a hour last night tying up some pink and white deceivers in prep. Lets hope the rain brought some fish on down our way.
Not an exotic vacation by any stretch this year but time and money after buying the house is a little short, but its time off spent fishing never the less.
