My favorite tube is a Blue Moon. Black rabbit strip, black marabou wrapped spider style. and a few wraps of kingfisher blue schlappen.

Intruders on a tube work very well. Here is another fly that is a Big GP on a tube. http://www.washingtonflyfishing.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=12539&cat=500&ppuser=4095

Here is the recipe on a shank. But You can improvise and make it work. http://www.washingtonflyfishing.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=10866&cat=500&ppuser=4095

Another trick for tying tubes, Is make a few tubes with marabou. You can stack a few together to give it a bigger and mutliple color profile.

Just another Steelhead pattern that I tied on a tube.

Hope you can use this info and tie up some cool looking flies.
