newbie question - finishing bead/cone heads

What's the best way to finish a tie on a bead head? Do you whip finish, half hitch or? Do you tie behind or in front of the bead? Do you use head cement on the finishing tie?

I realize there are probably multiple ways, so I'm most concerned with a technique that yields the most durability.

Whip finish behind the bead multiple times and then use head cement and it should be fine. The bead or cone should not rotate. If you add a drop of cent after a whip finish and then add more and then cent again, it will be even more secure.
