Got out on Jameson for the first time in four years for the late opener. Previously, I've only fished it in the spring. Weather was outstanding, not much wind, t-shirt temps. There were probably ~100 people set up on the bank along the road and 40 boats out in the south end of the lake. Very much an opening day/zoo atmosphere.
The fishing was steady for 8-10" rainbows . . .every fly and technique I tried made them happy. Every part of the lake held them. Through sheer persistence I managed to catch a few larger hold-overs which were nice surprises. I hope all those dinks survive the winter and keep growing! This would be a great place to take kids/beginners.
