hey guys want to tie winter steelhead flies on waddington shanks but not shure what size to get or the size of trailer hook should be any help would be great cheers thanks a lot :thumb:

i tie most of mine on size 35mm and the trailer is usually a size 2

For most of my winter flies i use 15mm, 25mm, and 35mm shanks with owner ssw #1,2,4 hooks.

Size 4 up to a 1/0 on some big nasty flies that I tie. A size 2 or 1 will get the job done on a 25 and 35mm Shanks. Look for smaller hooks as you tie on smaller shanks.
