Outside of WA deer and elk - how did you do??

Just curious if anyone hunted elk/deer outside of Washington this year? Results?

I got a whitetail doe on my annual visit back home to Pennsylvania. The first day of deer season back there is still the biggest holiday of the year. It's really something to see - schools are closed, lots of people don't show up for work and you see orange and camo everywhere. Woo hoo!

I read about a town somewhere that goes crazy over the opening day of squirrel season. everything closes down and people head into the woods.

i saw some big whitetails that came from around my home town in upstate new york this year. abnormally big for that area. we're planning an idaho trip for 2008. very giddy about that.
