Just got the new Spey to Z DVD. For someone who is on the new end of getting into the spey scene, it is well worth the $40.00. I now have a much better understanding of the fundamentals of spey casting, the difference in casting styles, and the common problems encountered in spey casts. The only tough part is that those guys make it look sooooo easy. If you haven't seen it, save your nickels:thumb:

I'm gonna have to try to borrow that.
One serious question I have, not trying to just complain here but I'm seriously interested: How come spey DVDs are so expensive? I realize it's a small market but proportionally production costs are almost nothing compared to most other videos.

It's done by Way Yin, Topher Brown, and Greg Pearson. Poppy has copies. Way Yin covers some single hand spey stuff and then goes through fundamentals w/ long belly lines. He is a casting machine and really breaks the cast down so you can understand each of the parts. Topher Brown covers Scando casting and Greg Pearson covers Skagit casting. I've seen Simon Gawesworth's vid and Derek Brown's, and IMHO this one is better hands down.
