Are any of you Spey reprobates planning to attend the Kaufmann Spey Days on the Skykomish at Lewis Street this weekend? I haven't spent a weekend in lively Monroe since the last time I attended this event. Anybody going and want to go out for a micro brew after?

Both days, Saturday and Sunday. 9:30am-4pm I believe.
I'm leaning towards stopping by Saturday, but don't know for sure yet.

I'm thinking about Sunday - I'd like to see Tyler Kushnir and Al Buhr.
If you are looking for a good micro-brew, hands down the Sailfish (on Lewis and Main St) is awesome. They serve beers from the Twin River Brewery next door. However - they are closed Sunday-Monday, so they'd be a Saturday option only.

Thought seriously about driving up from Ashland in the Motor Home .. then I started to track the Ashland/So. Oregon weather forecasts. Glad I did!
Rain shifted to snow about 6PM last evening .. now 0909 the next morning ... and 8" on the ground and it's still coming down. Forecast is predicting 'MOS' for the next several days. I-5 was shut down, even for 4x4's, last night; not sure if ODOT/CAL-DOT has reopened it yet.

I'll probably be there on Saturday - planning to stop in during the morning festivities, then off for a bit in the afternoon.
I'd definitely be up for a brew at one of the local pubs. We've also had an ongoing mexican feast / brewfest at Ixtapa that's been a lot of fun.
Either way, concluding an afternoon of testing out the latest greatest toys with a good dinner and a few cold ones :beer1: is the way to go!

I was thinking of dragging my boat up there in hopes of mixing in a little fishing, but river conditions and the weather forecast make me think that test casting and brew testing may be the better agenda. Then I won't have to mess with the boat.

I hope to make it out there at least one of the days. See you there.
I have yet to catch Way Yin's presentation. I've seen the other presenters before. They are fantastic.
On that note: Are there any gear breakthroughs I really should try? I would like to try the SA Skagit lines.

I'm going to be there on Saturday and plan to fish on Sunday. Hopefully the precip won't blow the rivers.

I might be there Saturday. It is really a fishable thing from me. If the Skagit is fishable I will be fishing, if the river is not fishable, I will attend.
