The res. silvers are definitely in the N. sound. The tides locally have been really good in the evening. I've been having my best luck between 4:30 and 6 pm. Last night I hooked up on 7 and missed about 3 or 4. This was from about 5 pm to about 6 pm. Started w/ chartreuse clouser, not much luck went to pink no luck. Olive and white was the ticket. Hooked I'd say five of those fish on casts back to back w/ misses in between. I'm so grateful for living here in WA. How fortunate are we to have such a variety of salmonoid species to fish for?! And year round to boot!!!

I've found out the same thing. Olive over white has been my best color for baitfish patterns this year. I would say that 4:00 to 5:00 is the best time. I got six resident silvers last Saturday. Also, there have been some blackmouth mixed in.

Went out again this evening. Caught 3- slow night, but I'm not complaining. I've caught fish every evening since I started going each day the last week, w/ the tide being so good. I have caught a couple blackmouths myself. Haven't seen any cutthroats myself yet.

I see a couple of reports that refer to North Sound. It looks like these reports are coming from people that live in Bremerton and Bainbridge Is. and refer to catching salmon. Both these locations are in Area 10 which is closed to salmon fishing. So unless you are fishing in Area 8 or nine or around Agate Pass it probably isn't wise to discuss catching salmon.

One more day and I can go hunt those buggers down in my area again...

Area 9, 11, and 12 which are all open to salmon fishing right are very close to Bremerton and Bainbridge Is. so I would easily assume that these fish were likely to be taken legally.
Congrats on the good fishing, the cutthroat should be showing again soon up with the outmigration of chum fry (got into a few last week on S. Sound). Also you might try tan and white clousers as that color combo has alway treated me great for residents.
