I just had to share.

After several trys in the salt, I finally caught something from the beach.

I went out this morning, and was able to locate a small pod of fish. Second cast with my clouser, fish on. Resident Coho about 18".

Now to figure out how to catch a few more.

Congrats!!
I've been fishing for years but only took my first fly-caught silver about a week ago. Fun, huh?:thumb: One thing remains constant wether fishing with a flyrod or hucking spinners. The good fishing (catching) doesn't start until you find the fish.

Good job on the Coho, now you just need to get into some cutthroat!!

Anyfish...

Are you going to be at the cutthroat seminar at Fishy Business March 28th? Sounds like a few of us will be. I work with Mel Hurd at the Youth Flyfishing Academy in Lacey and he is a hell-uv-a guy...should be a great seminar.

Have you tried some of the more "popular" south sound spots for cutts...I can recommend two or three.
