Prince Nymph

For the tail of a prince nymph, will black goose biots work or do I need white?

the tail is usually brown but i tie all mine with black. white is only used for the wings

The tail is dark colour. The wings must be white to provide a contrast. The contrast is rumoured to be why the fly is so effective.
