Was wondering if anyone has been hitten any fish in colvos pass, Ive been down there a little with no success and curious if someone else has and if they have had any luck. And a question:confused: : With a chum fry pattern do you want to slowly strip it in or let it kinda swing with the current of the tides?? Any info will be much appreciated, thanks.:)
I have friends who fished it from a boat last weekend, they only picked up 2 fish and didn't see much activity.
If there are fish around your technique wont matter much, both cutthroat and resident coho are pretty aggresive. You're probably fishing water devoid of fish, keep moving if you can. I usually give each spot about 5 minutes to produce or I move on. It's a very hit and miss fishery, at least in my experience.

The chum fry have been within a couple feet of the shoreline. This is where they are safest. Vary your stripping speed. If nothing happens in a fan of casts, move on.

Fished it two weeks ago from a boat and found Cutthroat, Silvers and larger Black Mouth all in the same area. Silvers and Cutts very near shore and the Blacks 50 yards from shore over grass beds. We spent a lot of time looking before we found any fish. The good part was when located they were not shy.

There are quite a few places around Ollala that have been consistently holding fish lately. All are within 15-20 minutes driving time. The spots are definetly not secret ones.

Thanks guys for the info, is southwoth point any good, it would be nice if it is since I live really close to it.
any spot around there is good sometimes...go give it a shot rather than chasing reports...if somebody caught fish at southworth today, likely, they wont be there tommorow.
