Don't forget to tie up something different from all the standards. Yesterday, my go to patterns were failing me as I was trying to break in a new boo rod. It wasn't until I tied on something completely different that I broke in the new rod.

Bulkley Mouse. My favorite for skating over steelhead or cutthroat.

Kolzer Orange is a go-to. I also like a largish black, winged ant when the carpenter ants swarm. A deer-hair-winged version of the Steelhead Bee also works, especially on SRC.
