I noticed some people actually fish for the gold fish. My personal best with the re curve was 34 pounds at the Moses lake first carp tournament. The archery tournament killed 11 and half half tons to en-rice the coyote population. If we don't get rid of this foreign visitor we are going to lose all of the warm water species in the Lake. I noticed we needed a new controversial so I thought I'd throw this one out. :p

As much as I wish they'd never been introduced, I've pretty much come to accept that there's no getting rid of them, so we might as well have some fun catching them. Besides, they're good practice for saltwater flats fishing and they pull harder than trout and bass.

In my local lake, they are the only fish that can survive the pollution levels.

I've seen some honking huge carp top-feeding right off I-90 on Moses Lake. I can believe 34 pounds but alas Moses Lake is even a further drive from Sandpoint (Idaho) than it was from Seattle.
