I read the report on Speypages and it sounds like the competition was tough, as were the conditions (wind).

Hey, that is very cool Kristin. Get rid of Ron, take over the shop and then you and I can rule the fly fishing world!

Hard work does pay off and you were only a few feet shy of placing third. Awesome! And we all get to claim we know ya...

Thanks everyone for all of the kind words. What a good time, the GGACC held a first class event - organized, fun and quite a challenge!

It was really a great 'team PNW' showing down there. Brian Styskal, Whitney Gould and myself have been been practicing together over the last few months with Mike and Aaron. Brian and Whitney both cast Kerry Burkheimer Rods, I used a 15' Meiser MKS rod. All of us used Simon Hseih's NextCast lines. I took 4th, Whitey took 5th place in the Womens Division - and Brian also went to the Men's final round, and took 10th. All in all, a great showing from the PNW area.

I attached a few pictures of the weekend.

Lastly - a special Thanks to my friend and instuctor, Mike Kinney. This has been fun, can't wait to see what's next!

Congratulations Kristin!
I saw on another site that you recently won a top lady event using one of your Father's Spliced Hollow Built Bamboo 15' rods with a Carron line. If this is correct, then you sure do have some co-ordination..and Mr. Meizer could probably build you a 20' rod at similar weight!!
Continued success .. you deserve it.

APOLOGIES KRISTIN....Through the similarity of names I mixed it up badly!!!! Please do excuse my stupidity.

Best of luck

Brian
