I have caught several SRC's or what I thought were SRC's at Lincoln Park. The problem I am having is that these fish are very silvery, somewhat rainbowish in color and are more football shaped. The tails are V shaped and the heads are torpedo shaped. Are these SRC's or resident salmon? I have pics if anyone wants to see but can't upload them on this since I don't have a URL address.

That looks like a rather healthy resident Coho.

Yup, res coho.
I used to fish Lincoln Park fairly often in the late summers and I think I only caught 1 SRC there in a several year period.
Plenty of salmon though.

congrats on your first rezzies!
the forked tail means they are not trout...the images are a little bleached out, but they look like coho to me

Coho (rezzies?) for sure. It should be improving at Lincoln Park for resident coho from now through fall if the bait is sufficient to hold them. Also, cutthroat numbers really pick up about late summer with fishing sometimes being pretty darned good until Thanksgiving. If you aren't sure what you have it is best not to pose them on the beach next to a fly rod. Remember, cutthroat are a catch-and-release game fish only. Be sure of your catch wherever you fish on Washington saltwater. Regulations are different at various places throughout the season.
Good Fishing,
