So my new mission while I am down here is to catch a legal halibut on the fly, and every day I get a little closer. This one is about 13 or so inches(22 is legal).

I used to live in Santa Barbara when I was a kid and my dad and I would go after these guys all the time (with gear of course). Post a pic when you find that one over 22"!

niiice! i plan on going down to mission bay in the summer and fishing for these, cuda, rays, bonita, hopefully jacks being the priority and possibly the enevitable boner fish! hahaha i heard there was bonefish but rarely caught so i am setting out to catch one! good job on california halibut though! i am guessing it was a small clouser? send pics of the 22!~
