I saw that on the AHW blog earlier. It's unbelievable that a bird can take down a deer like that!

After taking a look at that, and then the other related eagle takes down xyz videos - those are staged 'attacks' where some caged animal is realeased and some dudes trained 'pet' eagle does a little show for the crowd of onlookers. You can see some of them at the start of this video. That little deer is probably all of 30lbs. Still impressive. Just not as cool as if it was truely a moment that was captured in the wild...
