Ive got access to some killer warmwater on Long, and will try it Friday.Ive caught bass flyfishin before, but have never gone after them, or pike.Ive tied some big bunny stuff, frogs, waterdogs, and the like.A guy my cousin gave some flys to got a 15lb pike out there, right by my families place.Any warmwater suggestions are appreciated.Ill try an 8wt with floating line?Heavy bugs or baitfish patterns?

Mice...try some mice patterns. Also I tie a fly that basically is the same color of the old, but reliable red/white daredevil spoon we used so much as kids growing up. I tie it with 4 white deceiver hackle feather (whole feather) for a tail. 2 red hackle feathers palmered up the shank to the eye for a body. thats it!!!

Try a Dahlberg diver....yellow and black....mouse patterns.....BIG popper's......Have fished around Felton Slough and the area across from the Tum Tum resort that is closed with some GREAT sucess. Also done well where the Little Spokane runs into the lake.

Ive got the "fly Fisherman" magazine(1983?)with Whitlocks article on the Dahlberg diver.Theyve worked for me on trout.I love his show.My sister bought the old sportsmans paradise resort on Long lake, awesome boat launch, and I saw some BIG fish jumpin there,so Ill try it.Hope to hook into a pike.

I agree on the daredevil looking pattern and the mouse pattern. Strip fairly fast....I have also had them hit a frog pattern like Ray Lewis on a middle screen.
