Westport/Ocean shores Jetty /beach fishing

Can anyone give me some pointers for fishing off of the Jetty out in the Ocean shores /westport area. I am going this weekend with the family and plan to sneak away to fish . Any information on bait, techniques, low tide/high tide. types of fish you might get into from the Jetty/beach areas would be very helpful.

Ive been to Ocean Shores quite a few times but have never fished off the jetty nor anywhere near there. All I can say is it looks hard enough to stumble your way on those big rocks all the way out there let alone trying to fly fish off of it with all that wind. Then again I could not know what Im missing.

i've heard there's a few spots to go catch surf perch. my family has a vacation home out there but I haven't yet had the opportunity to experiment. from what i hear, you have to walk the beach looking for any kind of deep trough where they hold in. good luck finding a day where the wind isn't blowing at 89748937mph though
