Is there any camping nearby where I can leave a 13' trailer so I can stay over night and get an early start at dawn? How about other beaches where I am likely to have a good shot at salmon right now?

i don't see why you can't just park there in the parking lot. there's no signs saying it closes, nor is there a gate preventing access in and out after dark

I don't know about camping there, it is a county park not a state park but if you were to search wash. state parks web site I know there are plenty fairly close.

Randy,
The state bought the old PNP resort years ago as a way to secure saltwater access. They've talked about installing some type of boat launch to replace the old resort slide launch.
There are always trailers inside the resort. It looks like folks might be living there and the gate is always closed. Might be worth you time to investigate it to see if you can stay there.
Good Luck,
Brian

Randy, Try this number to check on camping at the old PNP resort. 360 688 2238 The number is a couple of years old but I hope its still good if not just stop in at the camping area and ask around for who's in charge to get the info you need for camping.

Camping in the parking area near the point should be or is a no-no as there is not enough parking there anyway without any RV'S.
