Hit a popular area 9 beach this afternoon. Fished from 3 till 7. Ended up with two silvers in the 3-4 lb range, one 20" or so blackmouth and one 250 lb human buck. All caught on a pink clouser.

Both silvers were clipped. The blackmouth had a rudder. Not sure about the human?

Would this Area 9 beach require a ferry ride if one lived in say, shoreline? Just curious because I also hit a beach in area 9 but all I caught was salad.
I sure could use a tug, and fish on my line would be nice too. ;)
Nice job by the way on landing a 250lb buck. I have only hooked a 200lber but I cut myself loose after I wore myself out.

I had once hooked a 300lb buck but not on my fly rod while he was playing a king. He walked by me as he was chasing his fish down the river and I was sitting there with my leader in the water and I immediatly hooked his breathable waders barb and all. Luckily I had cut my line before he noticed. An hour later I saw him walking back up river with about 10ft of my line dragging behind him with my #1 gami octopus in his back thigh. I would have told him but he looked to be the kind of guy with a bad attitude considering that he had got his big fish wrapped up in a log and had to break it off.
