Saw the reports on the south sound and it appears that north is the direction to go. Any reports / comments on the Kayak Point area?

I was up there bbq'n last week and saw quite a few boats fishing south of the pier...I saw nothing come the boat but I have been wondering the same...

I fished there a couple of years ago from my float tube. Lots of coho jumping everywhere. The problem was that the fish had lockjaw and the only people boating them were snaggers.

If you're looking for salmon reports, wait until later in the week since the area has been closed (except for the Tulalip Bubble fishery) for salmon fishing and doesn't open until Wednesday (Aug 1).

Excellent point! I knew the area didn't open for salmon until the first just thought that someone may have tried for SRC's and that they would have a little info.

Do people generally consider Kayak point to be a good spot for salmon? Cutthroat?
