Coho Flats

I fished a spot in Area 9 this morning I named Coho Flats. Three of us were on the water at 5:30am just after the tide began to ebb. Martys first hookup came at a 5:45am. on a pink coho popper. He was throwing an Outbound floater about 20 farther than my best. The fish were picking up the popper within the first two or three strips and would follow it all the way in before chomping down on it. Marty must have landed three or four fish before I hooked my first. I hooked three and lost them all when they went behind me. It was pretty bright so we only had one blackmouth come onto the flats.

This long early drive is killing me so I'm gonna begin looking at some area 10 and 11 spots, like Coho Pool.

Incidently, I heard from a pretty reliable source that there are pinks at Bush.

Leland there are some pinks at Bush. This time next week should be gangbusters up there. Of course next week there will also be 300 buzz bombers there.

Don't go where the buzz bombers are. The pinks move down the shoreline.
