I don't tie my own so I don't know if the feathers from a turkey are of any
value to those who do tie. However, if they are and you want some, I've got an entire
caped hide with feathers in tact (sans beard and fan) from a Rio gobbler taken last April.
It's been treated with borax and I'll ship it to you for the cost of postage. Just thought I'd
put this out there rather than dispose of it.
PM me if interested.

Scott,
Are you sure it was just a typical North American skin? I have had hunters give me whole skins and I only want the tail feathers. Not saying that it wasn't, but there are many turkey types that are similar but more exotic and rare. Therefore, these feathers sell for premium prices to those that tie classic Atlantic Salmon patterns.

It was a Rio Grande I believe.... I really know nothing about turkeys other then they taste good deep fried.... But... it sure looked the same as the one there in the picture..

I don't know much about turkey's as well, only that for $400, I would re-new my Idaho license and go blast me a gobbler(during the season).

Sheet! For $400 I'll just not swerve so hard the next time I take an early AM drive in the country. I'll be rich in no time, them things are all over here. Like pidgeons in some places.

When I go in April I can take me and my brothers bird skins and give them away on here or maybe sell them.
