Deer Creek 12'6" 5/6

Had a chance to fish a little bit w/ one this weekend. It was lined w/ a 5/6 WC, which is a little lighter than some have suggested. What a sweet little rod! Would make a great rod for swinging big uglies for trout, as well as fishing for summer runs. It's sensitive enough that catching a 16" fish is still enjoyable. Just when a guy thinks he has all the rods he needs, a rod like this comes along:beathead:

I believe he is saying that the WC 6/7/8 has been recommended by several people, which it has but he found the WC 5/6 to be a delightful matchup, which it is. The rod has a BIG grain window and will cast several line weights depending on how one likes the load.

How does the CND 5/6 work on this? I'm guessing pretty sweet....

I haven't tried the CND 5/6 on the 12'6"-5/6 Deer Creek but I believe some of my MT friends have found that rod/line to be a very nice matchup.

Hey, has anyone tried the Deer Creek series, 13'-0" - 7/8 weight?? I'm thinking about buying one and would like to get anybody's opinion about the way it handles. Thanks -
