I've been using alot of different patterns for kings here in the north puget sound rivers and have found that a bruiser type pattern ( black with blue/green tinsel)to be by far the most effective. It out fishes the shimp and attractor patterns 3 to 1. i usually fish then large 1/0 to 3/0 and sometimes wiegted to get down. What patterns do you use in the northwest? I usually fish the sky, nook, samish and wallace. tight lines

The most effective king pattern (close to the salt) has been a black chen. body with a lime green or chartreuse hackle.
