I was shocked a few months ago , when I recieved a phone call from a life insurance company stating that my mom had enrolled in a policy with them . She had passed on 2 years prior and had not put this in her will and testament . They asked for my particulars and quickly sent off the funds . I struggled with the idea of spending it on myself , being a father of three children . It was then my wife sat down and explained to me that this unexpected gift from my mom , was a life insurance policy to assure I have a life . She went on to remind me that my mom always stated that you can't always give it away . That you must keep some for yourself !!

So it didn't take long to figure out how I was gonna spend it !!!

After a few emails and a 4 hour phone conversation with Bob , the deliberation was complete .

Here is my 15' Highlander 8/9/10 (S2H1508910-4) :

I absolutely love the lower grip !!

Here is what it looks like with my LOOP Classic 10/13 strapped to it's Butt :

I couldn't resist the temptation of the Agate stripper guides !! Bob sent the first set back because they didn't have enough knurl within the stone for his liking . Like a true craftsman , he only settles on what he wants and keeps his clients best interests at hand !!

Just wanted to share my latest joy with everyone , like a proud Pappa !!
It's amazing how Bob even timed the delivery perfect , on my Birthday !!
Thank-you Bob !! Excellent job !!! I'm very pleased !!

Mike

Sweet porno. The amazing thing about his rods is that as pretty as they are, you can fish the crap out of it.

Now there's an understatement for you!:ray1: Have a few of his rods (usually the first in the line) and all are true fishing tools!:thumb:

First off, let me be the first to say.................nice rug. :D
I had heard of these rods..Meiser's, but have never seen one before. That rod I could never get wet. I'm serious, that is the nicest rod i've ever seen. Plus, the reel makes it all complete. I think you mom would, I know your mom would like would be proud!

Thank-you all for the very kind words !!! And I know I have one extrodinary wife . She definetly knows me better than I do .

I brought the set-up down to the river yesterday and got stopped about a half a dozen times or so by other anglers (some were gear chuckers) who noticed the lower grip . Let me say that this rod can back up it's good looks !!! I'm not use to this much reserve power . The first few casts were definetly not for the picture books , but once I adjusted my stroke and relaxed (yup , was a little shakey at first) ........... WOW !!!!! I can see myself having a lot of fun with this rod !!

Kudos to you Bob !!! Your craftmanship and design is by far the best I've seen !!! I'm very , very happy !! (still pinching myself)

Frank ....... I'm glad one of us likes the rug :p

Your wife got you that, holy crap. Let us know when you're getting a divorce. There is about 5000 fly fisherman here that will be ablle to road trip to ONT, just to meet this angel. Seriously, do everything on your honey do lists, stop farting in the bedroom, have a plumber install a urinal just for you and glue all the seats to the toilet bowls. Do whatever it takes to keep her.

HA. too funny. Don't install a urinal, just sit down and go Pee. Then your wife won't have to clean up the drops of leftovers.

its a beaut of a rod!

I shake my head when I see this kind of work, and people still buy store bought, mass produced fly rods for a fraction cheaper.
