My original vise just broke so Im looking for a new, good and dependable vise for the $. Dont really have the $ to get a fancy one, kind of looking for them around the 30$ range. Maybe someone can point me in a god direction of where to find vises for this kind of money. Some of you may not know but being that Im only 15 top of the line equiptment is hard to come by. Thanks for the help!

Can you swing around $80 shipped? I've seen new Danvise (Danica) for that on Ebay. Does what $250 vises do... http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-TRUE-ROTARY-DANVISE-FLY-TYING-FISHING-FLIES-VISE_W0QQitemZ330164669004QQihZ014QQcategoryZ44913 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I'd go for a Thompson Pro Vise, goes for $38. Thompson has been around since at least the 1940s and all of their vises carry a lifetime guarantee. A very simple vise with a cam lever but it's dependable and durable.

Still have my first Model A I got sometime in the mid 70s. Too close to what a better and more versatile vise costs. Penny wise, pound foolish.
The Thompson Pro and the Griffin 1A would do the trick for you. Both are US made and are very good, serviceable, vises that I've often recommended to folks.

I have a Renzetti Travel vise and it's OK. I think i'd try something else if mine broke.

I love my Danvise. Plus it's the only vise I have that will secure cotter pins and waddington shanks.

Just got one (Danvise) from eBay the other night for $63 shipped via Priority I believe. The seller notified me upon shipment and shipped it the very next day.
