what are some good trout streamers. i have a bunch of "streamer" hooks, hooks that came in a 3 dollar dispenser not for fly tying just baiting but whatever, anyway i have no other use for them and i was wondering what some good trout streamers are.

I don't have a name for the pattern, but I have found bucktail streamers effective. My favorite has been one with a green top and a white bottom. Maybe with a little clear/fishygreen (not green but white with a greenish reflection) in the middle. I think it does a decent job of imitating a range of native baitfish (juvenile kokanee/rainbows in particular) and seems to get a lot of attention.

Four streamers I always want to have in my fly box:
1. Wooly bugger - Sounds boring, but it will produce
2. Zoo cougar - continually a confidence fly for me
3. Muddler minnow - probably most universal fly. Use it to chase trout, SRCs, steelhead
4. White rabbit strip zonker minnow

I guess I was thinking more traditional streamers (most of the materials tied in at the head). If were being unconventional...
Buggers of all shapes and sizes and any color as long as its black.
Bunny leeches (MOAL, String, Spring creek specials)
