This morning, 3 of us managed our limits of ducks at our favorite basin blind. We managed to get a few each of mallard, pintail, spoonbill, gadwall, and teal. Lots of pintails flying this morning, more than any other duck. so there was a lot of "oh! here they come!" then the disappointment when we identified them as we all each had our 1 pintail for the day.

not much moving in yet it seems like. just a few birds shuffling around from pond to pond. temps have just been too warm to push the big birds down. hopefully a few will be in by thanksgiving when i head that way to spend the holiday with my family.

here's a pic of my cousin with his limit of ducks. the batteries in the camera died before we could get my picture with mine.

Looks to me like he borrowed someone else's pintail for the photo...looks more impressive than a coot or merganser! ; )
