So a gal friend of mine gave me a two complete wild turkey wings from Wyoming and now I have all these feathers. I've done a little tying but not nearly enough to call myself an expert. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on which flies will use up a lot of turkey feathers???

Muddlers, but you will have to stack deer hair. If you have Netflix, there is a Kelly Gaullop streamer video you can rent that shows how to stack deer hair. His patterns are brown candy and pretty cool so it is worth watching.

They are also used for the wings of grass hoppers.

Look for the biots on the leading primary feathers.

strong werk on that doc, Tim. :thumb:
There's also no reason not to use the smaller feathers for winging, and some of the ones right on the elbow are great for large soft hackles.

Recognize this is thread drift, but WTH...
Very nice work/werk there Tim. Biots are one of my favorite body materials.
Hated working with the goose ones for Prince Nymphs when I was starting to tie. Then I found the turkey biots and was enveloped in biot bliss.
