Any of you use one? Any suggestions? Looking for something small for warming up the hands on those cold winter floats. Have seen some that fit into a cup holder that seem like they would work out well but not sure if they put out enough heat. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I run the Coleman ProCat and it does the job. I've had several people comment that it looks like RTD2. I keep it in the dry storage ready to take the chill out on the cold floats.
Good Luck,
David

I had one of the older Colemans. Bigger then the procat, but still worked well. Had a special clamp that the bottle for the heater fit in, then that clamped to the gunnel. Worked well. BUT, I also have a mr heater that fits into one of the smaller 2 gallon tanks. Could put that about anywhere and REALLY cranked out the heat when I needed it. And yes, I used it in a fiberglass boat and it worked well (but I kept it away from the sides).

Gloves and whisky do the trick for me however my wife would like to add a heater to the mix.

Mr. Heater is what I've researched and found the most positive comments about. Lots of satisfied users.

Mr. Heater is what I've used for 20 years in wood and metal boats with no problems.

Take a Mr. Heater and propane tank and place them in a plastic milk carton box. The milk carton box will remain stable and provides a tight fit for the tank.

Mr.Heater and propane tank in a milk crate has worked for me for years on backcountry B.C. excursions. Banging about in the boat in the trailer no prob. Keep warm, see you on the water

I also use a Mr. Heater. I use the heater/cooker model. With a line from the tank to a tee, then to one heater for the rowing seat, and the other line to one for the front seat. The reason I use the heater/cooker model is I can just flip it up and cook up a bowl of soup.

The heater warms up my outside, the soup my inside.
