I finally finished adding air tanks/floatation chambers to the stern corners of my flyfishing design. I didn't like having so much volume in the interior without enough postitive floatation built into the hull. I made sure that there is enough room between the two tanks to fit the larger battery boxes for the group 27's. It's 16 1/2" at the bottom between the two tanks, and tapers out wider at the top. They also make nice foot rests when rowing, and keep you in the seat if you're tall enough. Also make nice shelves to set things on. Seem to be out of the way when you are standing, unless you have size 17 feet.
If I build this hull again, I will change the number and spacing of the side to bottom bulwarks.
I've updated my flickr.com site with the newest photos of the changes. www.flickr.com/photos/flycaster

Thank you Zane. It's not that hard to build your own boat, and have it coming out looking good. It's a fairly easy hull to layout on the plywood sheets and cutout the panels. It's even easier if you live in the Seattle/Port Townsend areas and can get to EdenSaw Woods, and pick up sheets of 1/4", 4x10 and 5x10 plywood. Then you don't have to worry about having to make scarf/butt joints to make the sheets long enough.:beer2:

That is really nice. Looks like a great little boat. Some sort of little pram will be my next major purchase. My oldest is now 4 and starting to ask to go with me everythime I go fishing. For some reason my wife isn't keen on me strapping her car seat to the back of my pontoon . I actually did this one time when my daughter was only a few months old, although it was still in the garage at the time. My wife didn't think it was too funny.
Anyway, very nice boat.
Thanks for posting.

Warren,
I noticed below the last photo (newest) you posted the hull was for sale. Do you have a price?

Another great looking boat Warren, looks like you might need to get some heat in the shop though, looks cold in there this time of year.

Robast: I'm asking $700 without the seat, and $800 with. Will throw in a set of bronze oarlocks with the higher price.
